The accelerated transformation in the area of technology has also caused profound economic transformations; thus, entrepreneurs and the public, in general, need to get used to the idea of change. Not keeping up with the latest technology updates means wasting resources to keep competitiveness.

New technologies significantly challenge the modus operandi of traditional businesses, since total adaptation to the digital age is much more than the application of Artificial Intelligence or the Internet of Things in their companies, for example. The complete adaptation to the digital age implies fundamental changes in culture, communication, performance measurement, and how companies perform the most varied tasks. Without a solid foundation to make all these aspects work in synergy, digital efforts will fail to add value to your business.

For the next decade, we believe that companies will need to make a paradigmatic transition from social media, mobile devices, data analytics, and cloud computing, very much in vogue today, to Distributed Computing Technology (such as blockchain) and Artificial Intelligence.

There will be no escape from that; therefore, 21st-century companies will have no choice but to train their workforce in these new technologies. The workforce issue is a significant challenge, as there is a substantial shortage of qualified labor, mainly in Brazil and Latin America.

Blockchain technology (with its unique ability to make secure transactions without intermediaries on a distributed network), Artificial Intelligence (for pattern recognition, for example), and Data Science (to extract quality and relevance from information contained in databases) will be the key to increasing competitiveness and profits. It is not by chance that these technologies have been adopted together as a solution in banking systems, finance, government, entertainment, public and private health, supply chain, and law, among others.

In my academic journey, I attended aeronautical engineering courses at the University of São Paulo (campus of São Carlos). I have a bachelor's degree in business administration by Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. I also have a graduate degree in corporate finance and investment banking by Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA). +

I have over 14 years of professional experience in the national financial market, always working in large market institutions as a manager in the areas of planning and control.

Currently, I am a Master's Degree Candidate in Artificial Intelligence (Explainable AI) by the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. As an aside, I was the operational coordinator of C2D (Polytechnic Data Science Center / USP) from its project design to its launch and the consolidation of its research.

I am also a co-founder of BBCHAIN, Sappya, and FolioChain.

I am a software architect with experience in developing solutions for the financial market. I worked for three years in the Collection market, developing a Call Center solution for the Multi-cobra Group. For one year, I helped to build the Startup MNIX by developing mobile solutions. +

For four years, I worked on several fronts as a Software Architect at Itaú Unibanco, where projects related to Big Data and Innovation stand out, especially those associated with Blockchain and DLT. In the Blockchain area, I worked on the design and development of projects such as Aciptance, Fingerprint, Club Loan, Chamada de Margem, and other projects with FEBRABAN (Brazilian Federation of Banks).

I was the first professional in Brazil to obtain a certificate in Corda-R3 technology. I also had the opportunity to work at the R3 company in London, developing a high-performance solution using Corda. In 2018, I helped to organize, and I was also a lecturer of the Blockchain Developer course.

I am a co-founder of BBCHAIN, where I conduct Blockchain consultancies for large companies and teach in-company courses on the subject. I am also a co-founder of Mavie, a Health Technology Startup, where I occupy the CTO chair.

We use different approaches from the technological universe of distributed computing, whose leading exponent in business is Blockchain/DLT, to develop sustainable solutions in diverse contexts:

  • Platforms and architectures based on distributed computing that, via smart contracts, for example, ensure that trustable transactions are executed without intermediaries and following the agreed rules. These transactions are then traceable and irreversible;

  • Orchestration of P2P business interactions;

  • Complete adaptation to the LGPD (Brazilian general law for data protection);

  • Tokenization.
